What kind of handle is "TypoTigress" for someone trying to be a writer? Mine apparently. Hi and welcome! My name is Cassie, but lately have chosen to go under the pen-name Kit Carter. I am primarily a freelance artist and plush designer, but I have always loved writing stories from a young age (even before I knew how to write,) and have taken great joy in it in my later years. And finally, under the encouragement of my wonderful friend L.K.J. Slain, have come to share one of my recent works. Like many authors, I roughly have somewhere around (infinity) stories in various stages of incompletion, but The Book of Healing has been my main focus as of late and I do hope you enjoy it as I try to write it out. A great deal is going into this story-of-no-official-title, and I am hoping I have pulled out all the stops.
I am a Christian but my works do not necessarily reflect that. I am not a fan of extreme gore, erotica or even gratuitous language; but people are people, and I will reflect that as needed in my writing. Not all characters swear, but some do; not all characters are pervertic, but some vomit it out. The world is what it is and I would like to keep mine just a little bit believable :)
Please note: all works posted are primarily first/1.5 draft and I have reasons for why I go by the handle "TypoTigress." I would love feedback and recommendations, but I am not hyper serious on errors, as long as things are easy to read, so I don't ask you to stress over it. I figure come second draft I will change large portions and that will be worth Nazi proofreading. I do ask though, if you see me making a habit of something, let me know. Not being shy of the fact I did not learn to read till the ripe age of 12, being 33 now I am still breaking out of errors and building healthy skills; my 'then's and 'than's are still questionable, sometimes I loose minutes to minuets, and I like to improperly Capitalize key Words at random or when They are Important, and THAT needs to stop.
