          I'm still alive lol. Just want to send my appreciation for those who leave comments on my fics, especially False Obsession Turned Real :D 
          
          FOTR was the most ambitious thing my 13yo self wanted to write. And I *wanted* to write it because I didn't understand more "grown up" romance back then. I wanted a story that explored that silly, contradictory, new feeling of crushing on someone (and now that I look back: with all the obliviousness and dramatics of being 13). I was 13 years old writing about 13 year olds for anyone who else might get it. And I still think there's a inherent sincerity about writing about characters who are your age that you cannot completely replace even if you're older and have more experience. 13yo me cannot write what I write now. At the same time, 20yo me cannot write what 13yo me wrote. Maybe I could punch out those words, but it wouldn't feel the same.
          
          It's been more than six years since FOTR was posted (Oct 2017), seven years since FOTR was thought up (and the creation of my babies Fred and Dani :D), and I'm obviously not 13 anymore, *but* I'm still very happy and grateful that it reaches some of you today even in our year 2024. Part of who I was at 13-16 is tucked between the lines of FOTR. And you guys make my day. Seriously. 
          
          I've said it before and I've said it again: you guys are literally the ONLY reason Invisible String got a sequel (MIAB). I didn't plan on revisiting it until I saw how much you guys were screaming. And writing MIAB has helped me more than I ever thought and it is soooo unapologetically enjoyable to write (until a certain ship attacked). 
          
          Also, y'all are responsible for Fredlex LMAOOO because 13yo me was very against canon characters x oc but the Fredlex agenda you guys were pushing got to me haha. 
          
          So thank you guys for everything, from 2016 to 2024. This message may be dramatic but it's true lol. I appreciate you all so much :D <3

Love how the one thing that’s been constant since 2017 from FOTR is that people love Fredlex and I’m kinda like the only Frednielle shipper lmao

          Danielle would LOVE GUTS so much like she was totally extremely annoying during the month it dropped, like screaming “all american bitch” at every opportunity. “get him back” and “love is embarrassing” is soooo Dani angsting over Fred for no good reason. and she relates to “ballad of a homeschooled girl” so much (she’s not homeschooled). She later drags Alex into it (to help Alex cope with her breakup— [GUNSHOT])
          
          Electric Touch is so Fredlex. It’s about finding a new love and thinking this could either break your heart or bring it back to life UGH. I Can See You is SO Conneree likeeeeee I could see you being my addiction you could see me as a secret mission THAT IS SO FOTR CONNEREE!!! PUT IT ON BLAST ALONG WITH MASTERMIND!!!! 
          
          When Emma Falls In Love is gay and giving Daniellex. Like who cares about a man with eyes like a boy or a boy with eyes like a man or whatever. 
          
          Let’s not talk about Foolish One being applicable to everyone with an unrequited crush. But “you are not the exception you will never learn your lesson” hurts from Eugene’s pov bc Dani is his exception but (maybe) he isn’t Dani’s :(
          
          Now That We Don’t Talk is Rooklex. It’s kinda sad but I also kind do not care. Is It Over Now is kinda giving future Fredlex I’m sorry. “Your new girl is my clone” I’M SORRY I’M SORRY
          
          Suburban Legends is soo angsty Frednielle core because he will indeed kiss her in a way that’ll screw her up forever. Also “you’ll be more than a chapter in my old diaries with the pages ripped out” UGHH. And I broke :) my :) own :) heart :) because :) you :) were :) too :) polite :) to :) do :) it :)))

I really am sorry for the hiatus because genuinely everything has turned to shit after I stopped having the energy to update Message In A Bottle. I miss my emotional support romcom chatfic and I miss y’all so much, and I really really want to finish it but I’m not sure when… y’know maybe I’ll pick it up in Feb 2024 where I left off. Maybe I’ll get back to updating in real time after a wholeass year lmfao.
