          We are finalising the logistics for the Black Lives Matter Anthology but we have some more news.

Hi!
          I've been meaning to ask if this community posts new awards each year. I was hoping to enter one of my works this year but since I've lost track of time i was wondering if I could submit a story next year in this awards community. 

Hi New Writers
          We write to you today with much fear and sadness in our hearts.
          The last 2 weeks or so have been very intense and stressful on most of the world. A lot of scary things have been happening - especially in America. 
          
          We would like to say to you that we stand with the Black Lives Matter movement. We would like to send love and support to anyone who has lost someone to police brutality or racism. As well as to anyone who has been arrested during the protests that have been going on these past few days. We understand facing arrest can be difficult and scary and we admire all the brave people risking their safety to stand up for something they believe in. 
          
          We, as The New Writer Awards, would like to make a difference to all that has been going on and help assist black voices to be heard and prevent the continual cycle to racism. We have decided to do so through a short story anthology. We are specifically looking for black voices but anyone can enter.  We are looking for stories that highlight racism and discrimination but also stories that uplift all races and show the beautiful aspects of being a black person - regardless of where you live. 
          We hope you like this idea, feel free to discuss in the comments about how we can make this anthology have the biggest impact and if you have any ideas for it, please do get in contact.  We hope you will come along with the journey to get black voices amplified and justice for all those that have been affected by the issue.
