Some Behind The Scenes Stuff
The Auburnverse started out as a RWBY Fanfic but then I had a look at what most people were doing and their characters couldn't be possible without RWBY so I decided to make my own thing.
That's how the Auburnverse came to be, later on I thought that the themes were too similar so I cancelled it and created fantasy story instead.
Later on I had an idea to bring back the original Auburnverse and create a new story so I did/am doing that.
One of my friends had unused DnD characters that he asked me to use in a story, after explaining the characters I said that they were too good to be characters in one story and should have their own so that's how Family of Blood came to be.
The Lore Book exists so that I don't need to stop the story of Nox or Monstrum or Modum for exposition and world building.
Sophie started as a simple joke that I turned into a reoccurring joke, which I then decided to make integral to the story and one of the character's backgrounds.
Maize was made by an artist mistaking Amber and Jade's colors as yellow instead of green and orange respectively, I decided to create a younger sister character and later on decided that The Auburnverse can difference itself from other things with a pinch of time travel, hence Maize coming to life as an older version of herself.
Jade and Amber were originally Two characters in One body, then RWBY Volume 4 came out doing a similar thing, so I worked on a way to make them two separate characters, and that's why they became twins with the help of science.
DidgeridazookaTM, I would constantly joke about a RWBY OC who would have such a ridiculous weapon and when people yelled at me to make my own, so came this beauty.
Original Story for Nox, The Nox Crew were supposed to create enough hysteria to accidentally summon a fearsome monster, I asked around about what I should have and someone with the name of Sophie jokingly answered "ME!" that's the original Sophie joke.
