Can we talk about biphobia for a second. For new followers, Hi, welcome, I’m Shannon :) recently I’ve noticed - obviously it’s always been a thing however it’s become bigger in the lgbtq community - rhat people are being biphobic and trying to act like people, characters and celebs aren’t bi, they’re straight/gay/lesbian. What the hell? As a bisexual person, I find that to be an awful thing. I’ve been told ‘ aw no you’re straight’ … cuz I like a guy. I’ve been called a ‘fake lesbian’ I’ve had it all different ways. But then to notice people ignoring CANNON bisexual characters? Like In bridgerton. SPOILER WARNING!!! STOP READING NOW Benedict is shown to be bi after having a threesome with a lady and a man and he’s like ‘ hm I like this’. However now people are saying ‘ what about Sophie’ and ‘ he’s meant to marry Sophie ‘ ( cuz he married her in the books) SORRY I THINK BI MEANS YOU LIKE EITHER LADIES OR MEN ( in my case I also feel for the non binary too ), SO YES HE CAN BE BI AND STILL MARRY A WOMAN! Let’s stop with the biphobia, stop trying to silence us, and accept that we do exist and stop trying to make us be straight or gay. We’re bi. And all this during pride month too? Not cool guys.

I’m so sad that bi people get so much discrimination. I really admire you for speaking about it. As I bi person myself with a boyfriend, I do understand that people don’t always realise that I’m bi, but when they start dissing you, it’s hideous. I really admire you for speaking out about this issue! I really hope it’s sorted soon :) x
