Why I write
While I usually write to get rid of whirling words, Most of the time I use my writing to express those feelings or dreams.
Honestly I am more of a reader than a writer. I love to find a book that can take me on an emotional rollercoaster. Lost and alone, giddy and energetic, panicked and angry. When I get into a book I escape and feel the emotions of the characters I adore. So, when I write I try to get the same reaction from when I am reading. If I am sad there is a reason and my characters need to have reasons for their emotional states as well. I sometimes use my characters to emulate what I am feeling. Think of it as a fantasy journal, the actions leading up to the emotional state most probably isn't the reason for my real life state of mind.
Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason for the ideas floating around in my mind. \_(o-o)_/ I write to free up my mind. I envision my brain as a box and throughout the day multiple thoughts tumble through it and sometimes they seem to keep adding to themselves. To empty, or 'brain dump' I write. Usually, I have to start a story multiple times before I like or even get where the story is going. Sometimes, I only get parts of a story and I have no idea on where it came from... the other day I started to write about a date gone wrong and the character ended up being a vampire hunter. I still don't know how it's going to turn out but I'm going to try to finish it.
