Hi everyone. I'm Springhalt. 

The most important thing to me is writing. Writing is my raison d'être, my reason to exist. I consider writing to be the highest form of art. That may sound like I take it too seriously, but nothing could be further from the truth. Writing can be as serious or as silly as one wants it.

I write for a variety of reasons, but foremost to entertain myself. The goal of many writers is to one day make a professional living off of it; I am wary of such a possibility for myself. To bring commercialization into this hobby of mine, to make my ability to eat, to pay my electric bill, off of it, seems to me to put it under considerable pressure. I am not sure I would want that amount of pressure on my writing. I think I would rather support myself some other way, and have my writing as my own, happy so long as it's making me or other readers happy.

Some random trivia: My hobbies (are other than writing) are crafting, drawing, photography, playing video games, and studying. I like hiking too, and being out in nature.

My favorite genres to write and read in are Fantasy, Sci-fi, and Horror. For romantic plots and sub-plots, I am open to any gender combination, M/M, F/F, M/F, or any other combination.

Oh, and this is important: critique is highly welcome. My work is my work--it is not me. I don't feel attacked or defensive when someone offers a criticism of my stories or writing. I appreciate any feedback or suggestions for improvement.
