I'm just a typical girl trying to make it through life,
opening doors hoping to be alright,
but when the room's crashing down,
And the fight has come to an end,
When ever will my life go from dark to light again?

I just want to run and hide from my strife,
Just give me a chance I swear i'll breath life,
Just help me to fight this battle within,
move out of the darkness into light once again,

When darkness consumes life,
and sadness creeps in,
I Just close my eyes and look within,
Looking into the depths of my heart,
Behind all the troubles that tear me apart,
I find my own world,
Just to make a new start.

Looking into this world and I can now see,
The beauty of life staring right back at me,

I've learned to control it,
I've learned to not fight.
But within me I know the fire ignites.
It looses control when it starts to heat,
But I push it aside. I wont be beat.
I stand my ground and put out the flame,
I will never let it consume me again.
