I'm a Literary Voyeur.

I've been writing about what I see people reading in public since 2006.

What started as a blog is now a book, Seen Reading (Freehand Books—English Canadian print; HarperCollins—English worldwide digital).

What makes the project most unique, however, is my response to each sighting, a very short piece of microfiction that combines the reader, their book, and my imagination: one act of writing that inspires an act of reading that inspires yet another act of writing. It's all quite meta. Perhaps, then, it's less fiction than meditation. Micromeditation?

As for the brevity of each story, it asks the question, "Do we say more when we say less?" Answer: Maybe. Maybe not. But as writers, the choice is ultimately ours!

Follow along on Twitter as I post my on-the-go sightings using #seenreading, and feel free to contribute your own using the same hashtag. (Include the author and publishers handles and you're sure to get some love in return.)

Here on wattpad, I'll share my musings, thoughts on the writing process, and more micro-meditative-speculative-fiction-bits.

For chatter on publishing news and to catch my interviews with other authors, follow @BookMadam on Twitter.

And to those of you who I've met at festivals and events, thanks for your support and enthusiasm. It's a pleasure to meet you!

I'm available for class visits—in person or online.

Take care, all!
