Protect and Survive, a rough version of which appeared here many years ago, was the Editor's choice for Flash Fiction Friday this week at Litro Magazine. You can find it here:

I haven't really written any new fiction over the past few years, apart from a few short plays which have appeared on stage here in Liverpool and London. This is mainly due to work, family and this god awful virus. Hopefully, one day, I'll find a vehicle for my writing here again. Take care and stay safe.

Hello, it's been so long but I hope you're well. I just got notifications saying that you'd updated Fight or Flight - did you add new bits and bobs into the story? Even to this day and after all the years, I still think about your story and how much I loved it, I think I will read it again.

@biscuit_dunker Hi! Nah, I've not added or taken anything away. Took it down last year with the intention of editing it... But never got round to it. Over the past few months I got messages from people who had read it, wanted to read it again & couldn't find it. So eventually got round to it this afternoon. Hope you are well, btw. Take care.

Hi, idk if you'll see this, but I'm curious about one of your older works "Fight or Flight". I really loved it and wanted to reread it, but its not here. It is in my archive (no words), but not on your page. Is there somewhere else it can be read?

CelinaKay

@SeanMcMahon thank you for getting back to me. And thank you for putting the story back up. If you ever do get around to editing it, I will read that version too

@CelinaKay Hi! Sorry so long getting back to you on this. Been incredibly busy over the past six months or so. Took the story down with intention of editing it... But never got round to doing so. So, here you go. Enjoy.

I went to your profile the other day because I wanted to see if you'd been on here and written anything new and then today you popped up on my newsfeed. I hope you've been well, it's been so long since we last spoke, (I'm hoping you remember who I am lol). Do you have plans to post any other stories? I think I will have to read 'Fight or Flight' again, it's still my favourite story on here & I've already read it more than once, just a shame I can't give more votes over and over again.

@biscuit_dunker Hi! Lovely to hear from you. Course I remember you! :-) Hope you're well. Feels like an age ago I was active on here. Unfortunately, don't really bother with this place much these days: work, life and everything in between seem to get in the way. Weirdly, only popped in to look up something from Shakespeare's Sonnets the other day - first time on here in ages in fact. Still writing and have madly somehow (by accident, I think!) found myself involved in 'fringe' playwriting these past few months. Had a couple of plays produced - one 15 minutes, the other a half hour piece. Been a really enjoyable experience and that's all you can ask for really. Met some excellent directors and fabulous actors too. As a result, I'm currently on a writing programme with a local theatre here in Liverpool so hoping for something a bit more substantial to happen over the next year or so. Hope so, anyway. Take care and keep at it! Most of all - enjoy it! All the best and take care.

            Sean.
