Very serious post. TW, slight nsfw (sexual topic)

In my fanfics, the amount of people who comment about George or the others characters 'moaning' and they're like "WHAT'S WITH THE MOAN AUTHOR" or "STOP MOANING" is absolutely insane.

As you guys may or may not know, I am not a native english speaker and I submit I may have worded some sentences better or use other words, and I think it's funny at times - which is why I didn’t correct it.

However, I've been checking online definitions of the words which says "to make a long, low sound of pain, suffering, or another strong emotion". I've read english books where 'moan' has been used in a context of anger, frustration or pain and I have never used that word in another context than these, maybe only once to express the surprise.

It is quite fair that the word 'moan' has been over sexualized, but I've never even once intented to imply any sexual intention behind my texts. Some comments about it are funny, but there is one time it did not amuse me at all.
In 'Carrying You', when people have been joking around because 8-years old George moans in pain, I definitely think it crosses a line.

At these times, please keep your comments for yourself. This community is made of minors and I want you guys to be respectful. Please stop turning everything to something sexual or at least keep it to yourself and your friends. I have have no issue if your dark humor is kept between your walls, but this place is a public space. Joking around is fine, but please understand there are limits.

I really enjoy reading your comments in general, but the amount of people sexualizing everything because DNF is fine with nsfw and shipping is sickening. I have a 10-years old sister watching Dream, and the normalization about sexual DNF bothers me lots. People might say, "It's the Internet", well yes, but I just wish we could make this fandom a safer space. This fandom already has an extremely bad reputation. Please educate yourselves.

@SawVvV You are entirely correct. The word 'moan' has most certainly been over-sexualised. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I agree that DNF is often blatantly sexual, and I appreciate that you try to avoid such things!

@SawVvV I really like the stories and it really is a shame to have to worry about how the wording goes. I agree on having a safer fandom so it can be accessible for all ages to enjoy.
