If you had to do something differently as a child or teenager to become a better writer as an adult, what would you do?

@LeaSheryn This is such a wonderful opportunity. I wish you all the best

Well, I’m not an adult yet so I can’t say. But I know there are aspects I need to improve on, especially to better my writing. For example, reading and writing more. I often look back on old documents I’ve written up as a child and note how drastically I’ve improved. Now, I don’t write enough pieces to do that, and I regret it. Yet with reading, it’s sometimes discouraging because when I read, I automatically compare my writing to say… a professionals. It’s a bad habit, nonetheless, and I think it ultimately prevents me from growing as an author/writer.

To you, what’s the most difficult thing about writing?

LeaSheryn

@S_A__Tsukumo I don't find anything difficult about writing. I don't get along very well when I'm interrupted though.

@S_A__Tsukumo planning the plot, characters, and trying to introduce the entire story in chapter 1. Finding the right beginning is hard for me. ;)

@S_A__Tsukumo Detail. It's very much something I'm not good at and I need to work on it, and also trying to put what I want to say. I'll think about it then write or type it and it ends up either looking stupid or not sounding right.

Thanks for the follow. Would you like to do a read for a read?

S_A__Tsukumo

@HockHayal sure, I've added your book to my library so as to read it just when I get enough time

Do you base your characters upon real people, or are they completely made up?

LeaSheryn

@S_A__Tsukumo A bit a both. I would say I have loosely based characters on real people or have created characters from a conglomeration of several different people.

kdcarson021

@S_A__Tsukumo a little bit of both sometimes only one of them is based of real person then everyone else is made up

How do you choose the names of your characters?

LeaSheryn

@S_A__Tsukumo Sometimes randomly, sometimes I choose carefully. If I write a story about a historical event, I like to choose names that were popular at the time.
Responder

S_A__Tsukumo

@MaggieOHighley Rightt. Other times the name fits perfectly, but if it's overused I consider another option

I choose them to fit their personalities and often use baby name books or just grab something random. I hate coming up with names. Sometimes the name is just there and perfect and sometimes I change it 9827343 times.

If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?

Finish something! For crying in a bucket!

@S_A__Tsukumo figure out a personality for your characters before you just jump into the story, and figure out a plot.
yeah I didn't really think stuff through-

@S_A__Tsukumo Your writing is not perfect, and thats okay.
You're still new to it. Use as many bad tropes as you want and make them your own.
Dont be afraid of new ways to do stuff. Find new ways to write and please, stop giving every character in your book horrible parents, its too overused hun <3
