Robert Wayne Bee is the author of four books: two Bible studies, 40 Days and Philemon: A Study on Forgiveness; a book on positive thinking, buzzwords and bee-attitudes; and his first novel, The Melissa Ring.

A former HVAC service dispatcher, hotel front desk clerk, bookstore clerk and travel agent, he has used the skills and knowledge from all of these disparate professions along with his autodidactic education, Southern sensibilities and strong Christian faith, to create the unique and immersive world of Gray's Forrest, the fictional setting for The Melissa Ring.

In his spare time, he enjoys reading, studying foreign languages, spending time with friends, watching movies, listening to music, visiting theme parks, especially Disney parks, wishing desperately he were Batman, and yes, even diagramming sentences. His favorite foods are donuts, cheeseburgers, French fries, barbecue, pizza, ice cream, chocolate, and the many types of cookies that his Mom bakes. His heroes are Walt Disney, Jim Henson, Fred Rogers, Charles M. Schulz, Rod Serling, and Milton Hershey. His favorite authors are Ray Bradbury, C. S. Lewis, Lewis Carroll, Dr. Seuss, J. M. Barrie, J. R. R. Tolkien, J. K. Rowling, Jules Verne, Mitch Albom, Kurt Vonnegut, and Mark Z. Danielewski. He enjoys listening to classical music and exotica, and in the middle of working at his desk, he has been known to break out in a song from Broadway or a Disney movie, but his favorite musical artist is Jimmy Buffet. His biggest regret in life is selling all his LEGO bricks back in the 70s.

He dreams someday of visiting New York City and London or returning to the beautiful beaches of Hawaii. Until then, from his basement office, which he has affectionately named Deep 42, in his hometown of Evansville, Indiana, Robert toils endlessly at his Mac on several books including his next novel, The Gargoyle's Chant, which is the sequel to The Melissa Ring.
