Richard Barry Nel

Richard Barry Nel thoroughly enjoys traveling the world and documenting his experiences for the people of Johannesburg, South Africa. He graduated from the prestigious institution called, the University of Pretoria with both a Bachelor of Arts degree and Master’s degree in journalism. Richard Barry Nel currently writes for a local travel publication that sends him to places all over the world in search of good and entertaining stories. He has a strong passion for travel and has been to many countries around the globe. 


He receive his Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and international communication, but he also received his Master’s degree in the same fields immediately after. He also received his Master’s degree from the University of Pretoria. At the age of 25, he moved to Johannesburg, South Africa to pursue a career as a travel writer and journalist for a travel based publication located within the city.
