when you die injustly (like being murdered) your spirit wont rest until you were put to justice (like if ur murder died or went to prison).
clay suffered through trauma frm his mom almost killing him, but sadly, he killed her instead. now he kills people to make his mom proud, which is doing something she couldnt do; killing people. hes probably the cause of most deaths in the town.
george was living a happy life, he had a good relationship with his family, he just got into university, had a nice job too. until he died.
there is a rule: spirits can communicate to other spirits, and the perso who took their life. the murderer is the only living person who can see the ghost. also a ghost gets more transparent when the murder is abt to turn him/herself in.
nick (sapnap) is also friends with clay, and clay comforts him when he finds out his best friend dies.
george stays with clay and learns more about him, and falls for him. clay also falls for george, and he turns himself in for george. they end up separating, and george's soul is finally put to rest.
sapnap visits clay in prison and says like "how could u" and then clay says "in my house theres a box open that box theres a letter" and then so sapnap goes n reads the letter n its like georges letter to sapnap like "pls move on and dont ask how clay got this letter"

So I usually remember the cover of a book and a short summary/ a few funny parts of it but because I read so many fanfics, I normally don’t remember a lot. sO when comments like, “OH YES, THE BEES” and “How to know you’re one of the people people” come up in my notifications thing or whatever- I’m like, “wHAt?? HELLo- uH excuse me??” And then I try to remember what happened whEn I CAnT-
(that’s not exactly what the comments said but my memory is well- baD loll)
