What happened was that all of these double people went to war with the gods, and the gods, to punish them, split them all in two. That's why some lovers are heterosexual and some are homosexual, female and female, or male and male."

In fanfiction to most people, the appealing stories are the heterosexual ones. Not ones with the main character as the guy, and the love interest of the same sex as well. Or, the same way with females. This movement is to help the lgbt+ community to create stories with the love interest, not of the opposite sex. Whoever you are, or wherever you come from - love is love. There's no way denying that.
