පූර්ණිමා තිලකරත්න

Born and raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka, now residing in Sydney, Australia, I always loved to read and write. Both English and Sinhala Literature were of great interest to me. 

I started to write poetry during my teenage years, and I remember being very excited when a poem written by me was chosen to be published in the school magazine.

Higher studies and chasing professional goals made me drift away from literature for a long period of time. 

After being away from the world of literature for more than a decade, I started to write in my native language Sinhala since 2020 to kill time whilst travelling to and from work in the Train. 

Since then, I have written eight short and long stories in Sinhala. 

I was able to fulfill my lifelong dream to publish my first book last year. A duology Magaharuni Athagili. 

My forte is writing Romance Novels, and I am looking forward to creating more of them in both English and Sinhala.
