"Why does everything have to happen to me?" She asked me.

"Well because it's your story sweetheart", I explained to her with a chuckle.

"But who's writing it to make it so...so... complicated?" She whined once again.

"You are...and you get to decide what happens next so think carefully because those watching your story unfold will question you and have a million things to say", I explained once again.

"You know... you're right." She got up and took a seat on my lap, wrapping her arms around my neck as she whispered to me, "This is my story and my favorite part is those moments with you."

I smiled at her and wrapped my arms around her waist. "To tell you the truth, my story would not be complete without you." 

She beamed brightly at me and I gave her a kiss on her soft lips to prove I meant every word.
