Hi, my name's George-Florian Carzon.
Born: Bucharest Romania 8th July 1982
Moved to South Africa in 1991 at the age of 9. I was introduced to the English language by Miss Thompson, my home room teacher in primary school in standard 2, she always said if you know enough you can do anything. I took it to heart.
I learnt English by reading books and sitting with two dictionaries; one to translate the words into Romanian and one to define the words in English, suffice to say the first story I read was the children's book by Franklin W. Dixon, The Hardy Boys: The Tower Treasure; it took me over a month to read that. The better my understanding of the English language became, the more detailed the simulations my overactive imagination of the worlds the authors depicted became.
Soon, I was hooked! I read the entirety of the primary school's library and when I asked the librarian when we, the school, were getting new books, she told me about the public library... of which I became a member the very next day. I read my way through the fiction section within a year and proceeded to topics like Psychology and how to read and understand what motivates people. I was curious about everything and books seemed to contain a lot of the answers; I read them all!
Moving to a new school meant a new source of hopefully different books, ones that I had not read as yet!
I may have been too ambitious with my first book: Virtual Age: Access For All (Book 1) - it desperately needs a rewrite.
My dad and cousin did say: Just start by writing short stories... I may just switch to that, not much of a response on the novels... :'(
Thank you to all those who read, comment or follow me.
I dedicate these works to you.
My aim: to question, to teach, to help and give a word that may provide that spark, to light the path for another to find their way out of this darkness.
PS. Please do not make any form of a copy of any of my works without my express permission in writing.
