Fun fact: With writing ships, you always have to put the dom before the sub. Let's say, if you're doing (I'll use some oc shipsas examples) a ship, you want to do this: Broom X Echo. Broom is the dominant one of the ship, so he goes first.
With switches, that is complicated, but just put whoever is dom currently first and that works out just as good. Fluff ships /can\ be difficult (specifically the gay/lesbian ships or ships with non-binary chaps and stuff), but you can tell how they act and it's really the creator's choice to pick (even if fans can decide for their own ships).
