I am a girl who aspires to become a novelist. I am interested in modern history and writing stories that unpack world events through the perspectives of children. I also take selfish pleasure in mystery, adventure and comedy in books and television shows and you might see traces of this in my pieces. I hope one day to become an author and write eye-opening stories that cause reflection and enjoyment. If I succeed in going just this, I will know that I have changed someone's life (hopefully for the better). I hope that I can provide solace through my stories since writing them has helped me overcome problems I have come across.

When I find myself at the end of a trying day, I notice I have fallen victim to the trials and tribulations of our world. When I sit down in front of a blank page, amongst all the obscurity in my room at night, the page is beaming with warm light. Through the ancient art of literature and writing I am able to shine light in the darkest corners and restore my own courage. That is my story. I do not wish to live a life of vanity and desire. Yes, I have dreamt of living in a grand house with a terrace decorated with palms and art deco lighting, but my true dream is to remind people of their common humanity that we all share: that amongst all the pain and terror, beauty still remains- in the faces of our loved ones, in the fields of budding flowers, in the roar of laughter, and in the words of those who share stories and bring light to our world. Beauty stills remains. Remember this. You just have to look hard enough to find it.
