I tend to find myself wondering the realms of comedy, darkness, and the perpetual feeling of creepiness. Short stories have been a passion of mine for a long time right next to independent film development.

I grew up watching all of the old school B-rated horror movies with my grandma. She is a pivotal part when it comes to what makes me "tick". I remember the early days when she would bust out what we called "The Big Book of Cheesy Horror Movies". It was a black zipper based CD holder book with a dragon design engraved into the zipper. The book contained such classics as 1941's The Wolf Man, 1959's Attack of The Killer Shrews, and troves of other cheesy goodness. I also dabbled in the more modern horror movies of the time like Nightmare On Elm Street and Halloween.

On the flip side of the spectrum, I really resonated with directors like Kevin Smith and Quentin Tarantino. Tarantino's twisted take on ultra-violence themes and gripping dialogue-based storytelling tactics really grabbed me at a young age. Kevin Smith just seemed like a super down to earth individual who focused on dialogue-based storytelling that really hit home for my nerdy heart. The first time I saw CLERKS I was blown away by what was possible when you really love something. He took the bull by the horns and got his movie made. I just feel a real close connection to the sacrifice and hard work that man has put into everything he has touched.

When it comes to reading I tend to find myself lost in Stephen King or some off the wall short horror stories. Wattpad has provided a means for me to really see the beautifully twisted minds that exist in this wonderful world of words. This site has been a gold mine for me in terms of a nice shiver or two when I have the free time to bust out a short horror story. I have learned a lot in regards to formatting and story building just based off of reading other individuals content.

Well, I hope this sheds some light on me. Enjoy the content I post.
