Napangiti si Ali ng marinig ang tawa ng pinakamamahal niyang si Breanna - ang reyna ng buhay niya. Nakikipagkwentuhan ito kay Mayari habang nakaupo sila sa dalampasigan.
He closed his eyes and savor the moment.
Napamulat na lang siya ng maramdaman na may yumapos sa kaniya. He saw his daughter, Tala. "Are you happy, Papa?"
Dahan-dahang tumango si Ali. "Very much. Lalo na ng mapatawad na ako ng Mama mo."
Her daughter smiles at her but it didn't reach her eyes. "How can you stay happy... even if Mama didn't choose you? After all this decades, how did your love for her stay so strong?"
Ibinalik ni Ali ang tingin kay Breanna. "Because she deserves it." He smiled tenderly at tumingin kay Tala. "Marami akong nagawang pagkakamali sa Mama mo. Loving her is the best thing that happened to my life but this love that I have for her also chose to free her. She deserves to have all the happiness that the world could offer. Kahit hindi na sa tabi ko. Alam ko namang maaalagaan siya ng Daddy mo." He ended his statement with a chuckled.
