Lavanya Nukavarapu

Lavanya is a finance professional who used to deliberate only on finance until one day poems and stories beckoned her. She became a compulsive writer who could not go to sleep without penning at least a few words every day.

 Her first book Bare Thoughts, a collection of her poems was published in 2018. In 2019, Lavanya published her first novel, The Captive, a psychological thriller that has received outstanding reviews. Her second novel Cigarettes. Sex. Love published in 2020 explores the complexities of modern-day relationships. Lavanya's third and fourth novels Strutting Lightbugs (2021) and God's Bubble (2022) co-authored with Kalam Babu, are in supernatural thriller and techno-fantasy genres. Her fifth novella Drowning Lotus, Part-1 : Padmaja also co-authored with Kalam Babu is a supernatural and occult genre, and her sixth novella Girl In The Moonlight is a love story in Covid times. 

 A research paper on Bare Thoughts, "The 21st Century Perspectives in the Poems by Lavanya Nukavarapu" was presented in February, 2020 by Prof. Saumalya Mali of Saldiha College, Bankura (W.B.) at the seminar "Recent Trends in Indian Women's Literature" organised by Midnapore College, Midnapore, West Bengal. 

She is also a professional editor and likes to help upcoming authors in editing/guiding their works and promoting new talent. Her prior editing works include a historical fiction novel, a self-help book, a political thriller and anthologies.
