Imagine a sphere floating in front of you. This is the universe. So what is outside the universe? Is it Space? No, since space exists within the universe. Is it, in fact, nothing? No, because nothing exists with the universe too. So it is less than nothing... it is... the Emptiness. Look around you, more spheres hang there, stretching off into the distance as far as the eye can see. Time is flexible and history may change... but the Story marches on. Every universe has a story... and as you look around you realise that the opposite is true as well... Every story has a universe. But more importantly than that you realise you are not alone in the Emptiness... something licks it's lips... and grins in the dark.
