I know I posted this a while back, but I've laid out the plan for and done most of the foundational work for Aspects of Sand, my upcoming novel. I'll be posting it here live as I write it during April (and beyond, if necessary).
Update: Hit 50k for NaNoWriMo yesterday. The book's still only something like 90% done (needs a few scenes to make the flow smoother), and that's a first draft thing, but it should be out some time next year (bear in mind that my first non-fiction book comes out in December, and I've got my first novel to do revision on as well).
I'm going to start posting stuff here more often now that I have my writer's platform set up on my website. I finished the rough draft of my first novel over the weekend and I'm working on a cyberpunk novel for NaNoWriMo, so I think there should be some good stuff coming soon.
For now, expect me to post some of the serials I'm writing for my blog over here when they're complete, probably on a delay.
So I'm bad about actually posting stuff here, but I'm going to start doing a piece that I post every Monday. I'm looking to shop more stuff out to publication and do more freelance writing, which is part of the reason why I've been posting less publicly. I also just don't generally feel comfortable posting my works for classes until after the classes have ended, which is a shame because I'm just not able to churn out fiction like I used to churn out other writing fairly reliably.
I've gotten better recently about having a more consistent output.
Going to try to get back into five-minute writes.
I've started a MFA program in creative writing, and I may or may not post stuff from it here depending on whether it's going to be something I feel comfortable publishing and whether I plan to use it in the future in books or the like.
Also, one of the requirements of my program is a capstone novel, which I'm thinking will be another take on the Haniel and Berrand story, with all the advantages of a few years of reflection and worldbuilding between then and now.
Been writing on Steemit under my Loreshaper Games brand. You can find my stuff here: https://steemit.com/@loreshapergames
It's mostly about storytelling and game design, and I figured the former might appeal to some people here.
I just published a game over on DriveThruRPG. It's called velotha's flock, and it's a free verse RPG of were-ravens and a battle between God and the Devil.
If you like my poetry, you might like it.
It's still in development, and will have more content next week.
