Good morning/afternoon/evening. Thanks for taking an interest in my work & stopping by.

I have a strong belief in letting the work speak for itself, & in the case of my wholly original work (I have posted five short stories, some poems and yes, a cookbook, here so far), I will let that stand.

However...the fanfics. I hate "Mary Sues" as much as the next person, so I feel the need to rationalize them. I have written a short series of fanfics based on various characters played by the English actor Richard Armitage in response to a writing challenge: "You'll Never Guess Who I Bumped Into The Other Day..." on Richard Armitage board on IMDB where where "...we can imagine what it would be like to bump into one of RA's characters & what occurs" for which I wrote three stories. Later, I thought I should move the stories to a more permanent archive. These are also posted on fanfiction.net (the John Porter story in a more explicit version, and that has it's own explanation), but someone requested that I move them here for easier reading. Obviously the conceit of an unvarnished author insertion is inherent in the structure of the challenge (& yes, I enjoyed fantasizing, sue me). I apologize & hope you can use my author avatar as a lens through which to view & enjoy the Armitage characters. Please assume the fanfics take place in a single alternate universe from the one in the show, one in which John Porter survived.

Constructive input is welcome and appreciated. Thank you for your time.

P.S. I am horrendously picky when it comes to my writing. Even if I hang onto a chapter for a few days, after I put it up I will see a hundred tiny things that demand to be improved. Nothing pertinent, just massaging the words to a more pleasing or character-appropriate flow. So it may take a few days for a story posted to "settle down."
