A Journey Through Hospitality Excellence:
After a challenging childhood in Germany, I left school and home at fourteen to begin what would become a deeply rewarding five-decade career in hospitality. My journey started as an apprentice at the prestigious Schloss Hotel Kronberg, an upscale establishment that provided the foundation for everything that followed.

An International Career Spanning Five Decades:
My hospitality experience unfolded across five countries-Germany, Switzerland, France, Canada, and the United States-offering me invaluable perspective on diverse cultures and service standards.

Throughout my career, I managed an impressive portfolio of properties, from mega convention and resort hotels with industry giants Hyatt, Hilton, and Sheraton, to intimate luxury establishments including:

The Watergate Hotel, Washington, DC
The Fairfax at Embassy Row, Washington, DC
The Delamar Greenwich Harbor, Connecticut
Cheeca Lodge, Islamorada, Florida

Beyond Traditional Retirement:
When I retired in April 2009, the quiet life proved short-lived. I soon returned to the industry I loved, taking on roles as Interim General Manager at three hotels and serving as Interim Vice President of Destination Services for the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board, where I built an exceptional service team.

A Dream Realized in Virginia:
In January 2017, I achieved a longtime dream by purchasing and operating the historic Foster Harris House in Washington, Virginia, home to the world-renowned, three-Michelin-starred restaurant, The Inn at Little Washington.

After seven deeply fulfilling and rewarding years at the helm, I sold the property and am now embarking on my second attempt at retirement, carrying with me a lifetime of memories and the satisfaction of a career dedicated to exceptional hospitality.
