I would say my interpretation, or 'label' for my work is 'Magical Fantasy'. It has a bit of everything in there, rather like a melting pot! My WIP (which is always a WIP to me as I am a always tinkering with the plot, structure or characters) is aimed towards those who fall into that magical age bracket, 13+. But, hey don't let that put you off...it's not about age banding here, it's about a story that inspires, lift you up when you're feeling like you want to run away and never return. We all love those stories that connect with our true selves, that makes the belly squirm at the thought of 'living' it, the part of us who knows we are all SPECIAL, UNIQUE and most importantly, shows us, we are the HERO of our own story!

I'd say my stories have a sniff of humour, a few spine tingling dark moments and characters that connect on an emotional level; but most importantly it's smothered in a thick layer of gooey magic!

I've been writing since I was 11 years old and I am a member of SCBWI BI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) for many, many years now, so I believe I've mastered plot & structure and (hopefully) I've transformed that practice in to a great story!
