My name... well, that hardly matters.
The name on the cover is J.F. Goodman.
It isn't my real one.
It's a pseudonym.
A mask.
A key.
I chose it to build a fiction capable of holding a truth.
Because, as it often happens, the truest stories are the invented ones.
Besides being a writer, J.F. Goodman is also the bookseller of a small imaginary bookshop in Bibury, England, called Books & Dreams.
The bookseller keeps a social journal, where he shares short stories about the customers who walk into his shop - followed by reviews of the books they came looking for.
The bookshop.
Bibury.
The hidden stores that open only to those who still know how to dream.
The guardians of emotions.
None of this truly exists.
And yet, if you close your eyes and wish hard enough, you can go there.
You can step inside.
You can smell the old wood and paper.
You can hear the quiet voices between the shelves.
These stories are written for those who believe that imagination is not escape, but resistance.
For those who still love slow books, secret doors, and worlds hidden just beneath the surface.
Welcome.
The wardrobe is already open.
