@IndiDoughnuts I've used both - present for Home, past for Ghost Portal - and honestly, it's all about the feeling. I felt like Home needed to be in present tense because I was also writing in 1st person, and I personally like that combination. Some of my other stuff is in 3rd person past tense, however. That's how I prefer it, because it rings better when I read my chapters out loud. For your story, it's really up to you - try both and read them out loud, and see which one sounds best! That would be my advice. :)
