Hello! I'm the co-host of the Elpida Awards and I'd like to ask if you can think of any genre that your chicklit book might have in common with rom-com books and teen fic books. LIke is there any genre/sub genre your book might have in common with a rom-com book or a teen fic book
Spent 2 days trying to draw a new book cover for Daracka. But I keep chucking out what I come up with, like I don't understand the concept of my own story. ヽ(๏ ∀๏ )ﾉ Out of all the novels I book designed, this one had the most revisions. The current one is the 7th revision already. I also tried AI generator, but they can't seem to get the red and black striped cloth for the theme correct.

@HeideHunt It's hard to do our own covers. I think you should keep the art but make the text for Daracka slightly bigger And play with text or text colors like white or gold.

Shortlist for the ONC just came out! Congratulations to all who got in. You all did a great job.
Though Glittering Gold didn't make the cut, I'm still so grateful and pleased it was an Ambassador's Pick and made it all the way to the Longlist. It's a big deal for me. And as planned, I will be expanding it into a full length novel. New plot plan to come up soon.

@AnnamitaMuscaria Yeah. I came out with a whole new story, that's for sure. Congrats again on making the shortlist.
@Shivran86 Yup, that's the plan. I saw many great stories that didn't make the cut. But those that made it are pretty great too. Sometimes it all falls down to the judges' preferences. Glad you're also expanding your novella.

The ONC Long List Sticker is out! I love how it matches my cover like it's made for it. This cover was supposed to be just temporary, but it kind of grew on me, so I guess I'm keeping it for longer.

I've been meaning to update the cover of A Book Nerd's Guide to Falling in Love because the original cover felt a little too dark. I still used the same art I drew before, but I wanted to change the surroundings and found some inspiration on Pinterest. I'm really proud of my art. I see so much improvement, especially with my color palettes and shading. I feel this new cover sets the tone of this Contemporary YA Romance Magical Realism perfectly.

@HeideHunt If I wear my wrist braces every night when I sleep, it's not too bad, but it rules out handwriting in notebooks like I used to do. :(
@HeideHunt Lack of talent, carpal tunnel, and nothing more than a vague wish to the atmosphere, though. Probably not going to happen anytime soon. ;)
Happy Friday! I'm trying my best to catch up with all the updates on Wattpad. I didn't realize the ONC Long list came out last night. I thought it wouldn't be until the end of the month (I had the dates wrong). Anyway, Glittering Gold made it into the Longlist! Yay!!
