My name's Larissa Antonioni.

To me, writing isn't just a hobby. It's an outlet for my anger, my sadness, and my hopes and dreams. I don't just hope to write that best selling novel, I hope to make a difference with my words. Whether it be speaking in front of an audience, or on the pages that someone reads.

I am currently going to school for a Special Education Major. But I don't want to be that average teacher who just "deals" with the kids. I want to be the teacher that is actually passionate about her job. Not only will I teach disabled children the necessities of education--math, science, and literature--but I will teach them the joy of art and how it can be used for a greater purpose. Mainly, the ability to be an outlet for pain and sorrows.

I will show them how to use art forms to make their life even better on a day to day basis. Photography, writing, drawing/painting.... These things aren't just hobbies. They are a recourse. A coping mechanism.

And I want to introduce that to the kids who need it the most; the troubled and mentally challenged.

I will make that difference. And I look forward to it.
