Have you ever contemplete whats behind the smile of a person who is always happy ? Perhaps that smile can hide nights of sorrow and crying, days of pain and suffering...
Maybe not every ,, Boring ,, person is the way we see him, but he prefers to keep his vast emotions hidden deep inside his heart, waiting for the perfect moment to reveal them, love, hate, empaty, anger, hope....
And probably not all grandmothers who walk alone in the park are going to argue with children who are playing, but maybe thinks of her nephew, whom she just lost in death. 
So, it would be wiser to understand that the first impression can be wrong, but how could you fail if you show empathy and understanding at first?
How could you fail, doing the exact thingh, you want others to do for yourself ?
They acused us of giving simple answers for complex problems. Perhaps there is a simple answer, not an easy one... but simple.
