Oh god its been almost eight months since I've updated my Elliott fic. How did that even happen? I guess I wouldn't be a legit fanfic writer if I didn't disappear for months at a time, leaving several unfinished works to rot. Thankfully I haven't overcommitted myself, and what you see here is only the tip of the iceburg lol. Anyway, I've been trying to get back into the habit of writing, and since I've hit a bit of a wall with my current 'main' project, I figure it couldn't hurt to turn a little attention back here. No promises as usual, but hopefully I can get the next chapter out relatively soon. Another big thanks to anyone who has read and enjoyed my work, and thanks for being patient with me about updates.

New update, finaaaallyyy. Still not 100% satisfied but glad to finally be over the hurdle. A lot has happened since my last chapter and I'm still trying to get through it so I can't promise that I'm fully returning to my writing at the moment but I will continue to update when I can.

So its been a hot minute since my last update, sorry to keep anyone waiting. I'm having a hard time with this next chapter because its a pivotal moment in the story and I don't want it to be anticlimactic. I'm not 100% sure how I want to proceed and I've rewritten bits and pieces and changed the setup idk how many times but I'm still not happy with it. I guess all I can do is continue to tweak it until I hit the right nerve but the whole thing is making me feel a little burnt out. I'm so close to finishing this story but at this point I feel that all of the chapters I have left to write are going to be bigger plot points and its been more taxing than usual. Sorry to ramble, I'm just feeling a bit unsure.

Wowie its been a minute. I'm finally mostly settled in my new place so I should be able to resume writing now. Updates still might be a bit slow as I get back into the habit of it but I will try to have a new chapter out by Sunday!

Hey all, I know I'm super late on the newest chapter. Things have been a little hectic with the move as we finally closed on the new place and have actually been able to move things in this weekend. It's literally all I've been thinking about as I pack, I just wish I had more time and energy to sit and write it out. I know it's just a fic, but it really is a joy to work on and I appreciate all of the lovely comments I've gotten. Thanks to everyone who has given it a read, and I hope you aren't too disappointed by the irregular updates.

Hooooo boy this last chapter was a doozy to write. It turned out so much longer than I expected but hopefully it brings a little comfort to anyone else who isn't feeling their best at the moment.

Heyo, so I'm currently in the midst of moving. As of right now, I don't think writing my updates for the Elliott fic will be too much of an issue, but I do have a lot of packing to do, so who knows. Things might be a little slow until I get settled in at the new place. I've got until the first of October to get my things packed, and just giving a rough estimate, I assume I'm going to be without internet for a week or two after. I will try my best to get the chapters out on time, but please don't be too disappointed if I miss an update or two. Hopefully everything will be back to normal soon, but I'll update if there's any further obstacles just to be transparent. Thanks for reading and I appreciate your patience going forward.

I feel like the amount of time in between chapters always leaves me with these little stray details I forget so I'm constantly going back and forth to change little bits to do with the seasons/timeline in general. I'm not sure how the notification system works when I make edits to a published chapter, but I'm sorry if you're getting spammed every time I catch myself slipping lmao.
