EmpressGeek

I look down into a large swirling pool. My stomach pressed against the glassy, blue floor. My mix-matched eyes glued to the images moving just below the pool's surface. My tail flicked from side to side and my wings began to twitch, as the pool showed the climax of the scene. 
The glassy chamber around me began to chime. I waved my clawed hand over the pool, freezing the image. leaping to my paws, I snap my fingers. A door on the left side of my chamber, materialized, letting through a creature of many faces. Unlike my stable form, hers was constantly changing. Sometimes she would appear as a mortal girl with black hair and grey eyes, other times she was a robot which was half rusted out. 
"Greetings, Empress," she spoke to me. Her voice was distorted as if she was choking on broken glass.
"Hello, Cc," I answered, "You have what we agreed upon?"
"Of course!" 
I snap my fingers again and two seats grow out of the nearby wall.
"Do you honestly think I can't get what you ask for?" She asks me as she sits down.
"No I am quite confident in your ability. It's just I don't want to began without all the information." I take my seat.
"Of course, of course. You know, you could check for facts yourself if you ever dared to leave this chamber."
"You know very well, that me leaving here would violate one of the majors rules. I'm already in hot water. Besides you wouldn't have a job then."
"True, but since when do you care about the rules? I know for a fact that you are fine with tossing them out the metaphorical  window, when necessary."
"That's why I'm in hot water. Anyway back on topic. do you have it?"
She handed me a small blue marble. I clenched it inside of my fist and the image of the character appeared in my mind. "perfect."
"I'm glad you happy with it." she glanced down into the nearby pool. To her it appeared to be completely clear. "what's in that one?"
"I can't tell. Especially to messengers."
"You authors, and your secrets."
