I have been writing off and on for the last 15 years or so. It has only been within the last couple of years that I have dedicated more time to working on my pieces. 
Sci-fi is probably my favorite genre, though I have enjoyed others such as fantasy and romance. I love characters that have inner strength that they did not know they possess, and I strive to give my stories a descriptive approach in order to immerse the reader in the environment. 
I try to set aside time for both reading and writing, but lately I find that my time is used more on the writing side of things.  I just recently finished editing "A Companion's Journey" which is a story I started writing back in 2010. I'm not sure exactly what the next step is for that work, but I'm splitting my time while working on another story that has also been several years in the making.
