Cassadi Lee

I've always thought of myself as a bit of an old soul.  I've taken my role as an independent, family oriented, strong willed woman. I've also found that writing was a very useful tool for me to help sort through the million and one thoughts that sift inside my mind.  Poetry has been the main source of understanding my heart of hearts. I have spent the last seven years raising my four beautiful nieces and nephews but am the proud auntie of more then fifty. Being the unofficial Aunt to the many people within the community has been and continues to be such a honor and privilege I take seriously.  This being my first piece of work has not been an easy choice to make due to the magnitude of hurt and soul searing truths not to mention the depth of emotions its evoked, that allows people to see me so openly. I hope that my writing impacts you and empowers you as it's done for me.  Thank you.
