Hi everyone!

I am a Canadian author living in Alberta with my husband, two large breed dogs, and three bearded dragons-why yes, sometimes I WILL respond to the name "Khaleesi." 

I'm repped by agent awesome, Mandy Hubbard of Emerald City Literary Agency, and last year Simon & Schuster made my writerly dreams come true by publishing ANNE & HENRY, the story of Anne Boleyn and King Henry VIII, told as a modern high school romance. 

This September 13, I'm thrilled they'll also publish OVERDRIVE, which is basically "Gone in 60 Seconds" for teens-the book of my heart. (Seriously!)  And LIZZIE, a modern YA re-telling of the Lizzie Borden axe murders launches Spring 2018, also from Simon & Schuster. (How incredibly lucky am I???) 

I'm also the co-author of KILLER'S INSTINCT, a paranormal YA published by Leap Books in 2013, a couple of short stories, and the writer for the Superman Duffy comics, which are illustrated by the amazingly talented James Grasdal and published by the Alberta Canola Producers' Commission.

When not slaying my own fictional words, I can be found editing the amazing work of others. I'm proud to be the Deputy Editor of The Big Thrill, the e-zine published by the International Thriller Writers' Association, as well as the development editor and marketing manager for Vine Leaves Press, and the co-founder and a senior editor for Vine Leaves Literary Journal. This year mark's my first foray into PitchWars, where I'm already struggling to choose a mentor among the amazing submissions I received.

If I'm not on the computer, you'll find me curled up with a good book, geeking out over Kiefer Sutherland, hiking through the stunning Rocky Mountains, camping until the last ray of sunshine marks the end of summer, or indulging in my new obsession-kayaking.
