"Dragonborn --

I need to speak with you. Urgently.

Rent the attic room at the Sleeping Giant Inn in Riverwood, and I'll meet you.

          -- A friend"

"I wonder how they know who you are..." Keeth mused, "I'm guessing that you slaying that dragon caused more of a stir than we realized."

Avoiding the snarky "you think?" I wanted to let out, I hummed my agreement instead. "It would seem so..." I then tossed the parchment into the water below. "But dammit, I hope whoever it is has answers," I huffed, "because we didn't come down here for nothing."

Scales and Hearts is being worked on again, y'all! (Ik "A Dragonologist's Will" hasn't even started yet except for the map, but I WILL get to it. I promise.)

Y'ALL I FINALLY ADDED IN THE MAP OF WERHN FOR MY NEW BOOK!

@CryoFangs549 Looks incredible! Reminds me a bit of Pyrrhia from Wings of Fire. Out of curiosity, what app/program did you use to make this?

I wrote a summary! Please tell me what you think!

"Dragon riders. A most noble title to bear and one that brings forth visions of great warriors with swords held high, they are not only beings set in many legends in Werhn, but are also a common sight around the realm.

But for dragonologist Laryia, she hasn't much interest in becoming a legend amongst the great dragon riders, and is instead interested in documenting all she can about the realm's dragons to have her works eventually published for all to read.

However, when a journaling expedition up into the Skytooth Mountains ends in Laryia finding the egg of the especially rare Royal Red Thornback and subsequently tumbling down the mountainside, the young dragonologist is soon thrust into a world full of magic, dragon riding, and the diabolical plans of an evil sorcerer looking to enslave all of Werhn's greatest wyrms to take the realm's throne for himself.

Is Laryia willing to accept the daunting challenges that come with being a dragon rider? Or will this tyrannical sorcerer finally be able to break dragonkind's will and bend it to his own?"

CryoFangs549

@DragonsDwelling I'm actually in the process of drawing one ;)

@CryoFangs549 Good stuff! I want to know what a Royal Red Thornback looks like now...

(Warning: LONG announcement!) Remember that dragon rider standalone idea I had yesterday? Well, I'm beginning to work on what the summary should be, as well as who my main character shall be and also how this whole journey should start for her.

So... here's what I've got so far: the world this shall take place in is called Werhn, which is meant to sound like "Wyrm" in a way, as that is what some people call dragons. And, of course, with a land full of dragons comes those ever-needed dragon riders; however, a sorcerer hellbent on destroying their legacy and enslaving their dragons is making it his mission to take over the realm of Werhn completely.

But... when our MC, a dragonologist named Laryia, goes up into the mountains to journal the rare Royal Red Thornback, instead of stumbling upon an adult specimen to document, she finds a dragon egg... a Royal Red Thornback egg. Unfortunately, when her efforts to get back home are thwarted by some uneven ground, Laryia tumbles down the mountainside, loses consciousness to a concussion, and her destiny unfolds when the egg inevitably hatches afterwards.

          So... whaddya think??

Intriguing! Can't wait to see where this goes!

Thank you for following. I hope you enjoy The Book of Leah. what work would you like me to read of yours?

CryoFangs549

@jmloveinlaodicea It was no problem, friend! I would recommend my Skyrim fanfiction, "Scales and Hearts" as it is what I've been working on the most. However, I'm beginning to work on a standalone story I got inspiration for yesterday, so perhaps in the next few days, I'll have a chapter or so up for that, if you'd prefer something original instead of my fanfiction. (I feel like I just rambled a lot, sorry XD)

@DragonsDwelling Same! Saphira is amazing!
I've read about 30 pages in and Murtagh is really good! :)

@CryoFangs549 I LOVED the inheritance cycle! I always found myself waiting to see what Saphira would say next, she never failed to make me smile.
I'll have to pick up Murtagh myself sometime - along with The Fork, The Witch, And The Worm.
