Thinking about making a story about the DOOM franchise since I'm a pretty big fan of it. It wouldn't necessarily be connected to the main game canon but sort of be a novelization/retelling of the first game. Any ideas would be appreciated

Announcement:

          So, as I was writing the prologue of my Halloween trilogy rewrite I came to the conclusion that I am making so many changes to the story of those films that I might as well not even consider it a rewrite of the David Gordan Green trilogy at this point. Therefore, it's probably just going to be one story with possible sequels in the future. For the diehards you will notice that certain characters from the earlier films such as Jamie Lloyd will have major roles in the story.

          The story will still be similar to Halloween (1978), Halloween 4, Halloween H20, and Halloween (2018). A sort of hybrid of the three if you will taking place in its own continuity if that makes sense. Jamie Llyod having a major role in the story is my attempt at doing her character justice and giving her the proper send off she deserves.

            I kinda love the idea of you trying to do Jaime Lloyd some justice with your trilogy. God knows the actual movies didn't. Not with her last appearance, anyway. Also, I'm excited to see how your version of Michael Myers will operate here.

So, I need your guys opinion on something regarding my David Gordan Green Halloween trilogy rewrite. I'm thinking about reiterating the familial connection between Michael and Laurie that the trilogy retconned in the first place. Making Halloween 2 canon in my version of this timeline. What's your opinion on this? Good move, or no?

@CreepystoRie5
            I don't see an issue there.

More news regarding my Halloween trilogy rewrite

          I've been thinking a lot about this project and wanted to give you guys some details so you will know what to expect. Basically, I will be rewriting each entry of David Gordan Green's Halloween movies starting with Halloween (2018) and going to Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends.

          I wouldn't say that they will be necessarily novelizations of the movies themselves simply because of how many changes I will be making to the story.

          Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills will pretty much have the same overall plot with the same characters albeit there will still be major changes.

          Halloween Ends however, will be almost entirely a new story. Yes, it will still have Corey Cunningham but I am actually going to flesh out his character (unlike the actual movie) and give him more time to develop.

          There is also a chance that the stories will be in script format just because it's a lot easier for me

            Sounds cool. Can't wait.

I need your guys help...

          So, I have decided that I am going to make a FNAF VHS series and I need some ideas for the story. My goal with this series is to take the story of the games (and maybe even a little from the books) and make it more of a cohesive narrative.

          I want the story to be like an alternate universe. I thought about using my idea of Henry being the killer instead of William but I already have an actor for William so...Idk

Lovell2004

@CreepystoRie5
            Hm. You could make it to where Henry and William are owning completely separate companies(Fazbear Entertainment and Afton Robotics) and William starts killing inside Henry's restaurants to ruin his business so Afton Robotics thrives.

@Lovell2004 Sounds interesting. I will definitely think about using the idea. Another thing I want to narrow down is Williams motive for killing in this universe

            Ignore that question my last reply asked if you saw it. I didn't register the "I already have an actor for William" part, I guess. Anyway, I've got an idea you might like that involves Charlie. Briefly kicked it around for Party Of Five, but probably won't use it. It pretty much boils down to Charlie finding out about Mike's hiring at Freddy's in 1998 after moving back to her hometown two years prior for "unknown reasons". She's working with Clay Burk. Not as an officer, more like an operator for 911 calls. She'd have similar roles to Vanessa's in the movie.

So...I'm seeing the FNAF movie today and I've been really fixated on FNAF lore lately. I was watching a video from the youtuber "NotRealName NotAtAll" and she pitched and idea for an au similar to one I pitched a few months ago but I think her idea is a lot cooler. So her idea is that there are two killers in fnaf. The "purple man" from FNAF 1-3 was just some random serial killer while the one from 4 -6 (which yes I know is the same character but this entire thing is hypothetical anyways) was Henry and is trying to use remnant to bring people back to life. Two different kinds of monsters.

          I want to take this idea even further and say what if William Afton killed the original five either for fun (implying that this version of William was just a random person) or for revenge for killing his son a.k.a the bite of 83 victim. And then...Henry later on began killing others to experiment and try and bring the original five (and of course Charlie) back.

          I may do something with this...

TheSummonerwriter01

@CreepystoRie5 Could be interesting if it was revealed that the second killer is William Afton's twin brother that he had that he had known but never contacted.

            Yeah, that'd be cool. I've always thought the Toy Animatronics would be really creepy if they were on the big screen. They kinda have the same vibe as evil clowns to me. They have a cartoon-ish and kid-friendly appearance in a situation that's anything but. That's always creepy.

@Lovell2004 Yeah that makes sense and I definitely agree he's a much better character than Mike Afton. I kinda hope they do a FNAF 2 kind of movie that takes place at the FNAF 2 location like a prequel kind of movie

So...I wanted to throw out an idea of something that I may (possibly) be doing in the future if my writing skills improve. I've been thinking a lot since David Gordan Green's Halloween trilogy came out about how much potential it had and what I would've done differently. I thought about rewriting Halloween Ends but then I just thought why not do the entire trilogy? So that's a project that I may be doing in the future

Lovell2004

@CreepystoRie5
            Yeah, they certainly did do that.
            Didn't handle Laurie well either.

@Lovell2004 I think personally 2018 and Kills were badass Ends on the other hand just did not live up to it's name and made Myers look like a wimp

            Even if you're writing skills don't improve...whatever you write about those movies is still likely to be better than the movies themselves. They basically ripped away anything that originally made Michael Myers scary, aside from his love for killing and his clearly inhuman strength.
