Canon Creek, Hochatown, Oklahoma was a largely unremarkable town. That all changed when Pastor Samuel Carter returned from seminary with a new dedicated following. Now out-of-towners and residents pull tight rank around the Pastor. And no one really knows what goes on in the Carter Canon church grounds tucked away in the woods on the corner of the creek. 

Grace Jackson and Bea Miller were best friends since childhood. United over mothers missing from their lives, and a rebellious flare against the oppressive small town expectations placed upon young girls, they knew each other inside out. At least that's what Grace had thought. 

Grace had felt a growing distance. Hardly noticeable at first, but when the first girl was found floating in Canon Creek, there was a discernible shift in Bea that she could not explain. And she could not dismiss.

Now three more girls have died in Canon Creek and Bea is missing. Daughter of the police chief, Grace needs answers. But why is no one asking questions? What do they know?
