heya! I am Calico!
A girl who has always had a passion for studying Marine life 💙

I've made this account to journal my journey on becoming a marine biologist, even if its years before i start proper studying for it i would like to still be able to look back in a few years time to see how much i've grown, or maybe i might be doing a different career completely!!

I really hope i become a marine biologist though, even if only 760 people have actually made it in Australia i hope to be in the next 800!

My love for the ocean is even greater than many things! 
ofcourse theres some things i deeply love more like;
 My friends and my dog 
But the ocean has always been such a fascinating place for me.

Genuinely i just remember loving the ocean then seeing all these divers and people who help reefs and i was amazed by them and greatly wanted to be like them and help the oceans.
I did more research and I discovered Marine biology! 
Ever since then i have been interested in becoming one.

Now my family runs me down alot they especially love to say stuff like:
"Only a few lucky people become marine biologists"
"Maybe you should settle down instead of chasing impossible ideas"
"Are you sure?!? I don't thing your fit enough to even swim" 
And the last one actually came from a grandparent who was bigger than me and has never swam before sadly.

I'm going to be honest. 
I had a fear of oceans before, not just like a 'scared of being in super deep where you cant see the bottom' i mean if i got into my pool in my backyard i'd need someone else in the pool otherwise i couldn't swim.
Im glad to overcame that fear now otherwise i wouldn't become a marine biologist 

I just don't listen to them and just keep my eyes on the future.
