Chad Lorion

In 2009, I quit my teaching job to focus on writing my debut novel. I got a part-time job delivering the morning newspaper and set to work on my novel, writing it in a small room of our house while my wife of more than two decades homeschooled six of our seven children. 

I uploaded my debut novel, Scars (Book 1 of Totem, a Young Adult horror series), to Amazon in April of 2014. Yes, it took me that long to write the stupid thing. I first started out writing a family drama, thinking that's what most of my friends would want to read, then realized six months into it that it wasn't something I would read, so I changed course and added a supernatural element to the story. So glad I did that. So glad.

I hope you enjoy reading Scars and getting to know the characters. I really like them, well, most of them. I'm currently working on the second installment of the Totem trilogy (hopefully it won't take half as long as Scars did), and I'm looking forward to sharing those chapters with you in the coming months. 

I will post regularly, adding new chapters to my books every Wednesday night and Saturday morning. I will also periodically post short stories I have written over the years.
