HELP! IS ANYONE A NATIVE/FLUENT SPANISH SPEAKER ?

I could use occasional quicky quality checks of some sentences for the manga I'm retranslating from Spanish to English. I'm managing well, but at times I feel like I'd appreciate a bit of input on some small stuff since I'm definitely not fluent in Spanish.
I am able to use the Japanese raws for comparison but I can't read all kanji, so at times that doesn't quite help.

If anyone is fluent/native and would be willing to help out with a few sentences here and there when I get stuck, I'd be much obliged. <3

I've started reading yaoi manga just about a month ago, and I find your recommendations invaluable! I do have a question. Did you happen to read YataMomo by Harada? Momo is a beautifully written character! I haven't been moved in such a way in a long time. I'm sorry, I guess I needed to share with someone, and 'tag' you are it.

Uuuuuuhhhhh! This past night (it's still night) I spent reading the best slice of life manga I have EVER read--"Complex" by Manda Ringo. It's so beautiful that it hurts! I've bawled until my head hurt and snot was dripping--I was supposed to go to bed for 3-4 hours ago, but I couldn't stop reading and then I had to write a review... You can read it as the latest add in my non-fiction list of BL stuff.
READ IT. AND THEN READ THE MANGA. AND I DARE YOU NOT TO LOVE IT.

My first contribution to the English translation of BL novel "Addicted", by Chinese author Chai Ji Dan, was published today - chapter 28 of book 2.
*Yay, I feel quite proud!* Thanks Sae for "hiring" me ^^

If you haven't read any of Chai Ji Dan's novels - you've missed out! Go read!
The best one IMO, is "Addicted". But I also love "Advance bravely." (Ongoing English translation here on Wattpad, check my reading list for the link.)
CJD is also the author of "Counterattack", but the translation of that novel is on hiatus ATM, sadly :(

If you want to check out "Addicted", there's a bit of a twists and turns in the path of how to read all 208 chapters of Book 1.

          1) Book 1: Chapters 1-7, were not translated by saehan01 and team. Biased as I am - I, of course, prefer Sae's translation ;P but since she hasn't translated the first 7 chapters, you'll need to read them somewhere else. I read them here:
          https://www.wattpad.com/story/71553156-are-you-addicted-book-1

          2) Book 1: Chapters 8-111 - you'll need to read at Sae's page since these chapters aren't posted on Wattpad. (Yet? I have no idea what you're planning with that, Sae :P) http://saehan01.com/chapters-1-111/

          3) Book 1 - Chapters 112-208 - are posted on Wattpad and you can read them here: https://www.wattpad.com/story/66202921-addicted-book-one-the-inquietude-of-youth

Then you've read all of Book 1 and can get started on Book 2 - the one for which yours truly now is a proud little helper ^^ You can find it here: https://www.wattpad.com/story/112512860-addicted-book-two-the-raging-flames-of-passion

And of course, you have the lovely drama adaptation of "Addicted" - which you can find on Youtube with English subs. Unfortunately, the whole thing with China adapting those awful medial bans, stopped the series from continuing, but the first season is quite lovely <3
"Advance bravely" also got a drama adaptation this year - and it's fucking GREAT... also readily found on Youtube.

@saehan01 Meeeeh, I have no clue about all the drama in the translator world
:P I just want to provide a link to the chapters. Give me another link.

The link to book 1 on here doesn’t have permission from us to post, there was a big argument between the original translator with the person posting when this happened lol

(As for my own scribblings - I've been kind of obsessing about other stuff recently, so I haven't written much, but today I started messing with part 2 of my manga list, so I should finish that fairly soon, I'd think.)

Bambiiiii I didn't get to reply to your question in the file. Yes I am the nancy who bought the USB. :) I will let u know when I receive it. Hehe

NancyChen3

@BambiKill5 I totally agree with you. The production of this drama is amazing! This could have been the best BL drama ever! Well, when I get the USB, i will def share :)

@NancyChen3 Ikr... <3 One thing I really love is how god damn funny it is! It hasn't just captured the humour from the book, but even enhanced it.
I just think it's perfect. It's not easy to make such a wacky story turn out well, but this team pulled it off.
Not too serious, not too gag - I love how tongue-in-cheek it is, flashy and super well made. Like... all the fight scenes are gorgeous. I really appreciate that. It so easily turns into a farce when these novels are dramatized, but this production really impresses me. I mean, the guys I would love to pieces no matter how crappy the drama was, but I really think it's awesome in every aspect. A really entertaining drama, not just a good BL story.

It's so frustrating to not be able to watch it in better quality and with subs... But at least I'm happy that I can watch it at all.

BL Manga recommendations - Part 1 - Just posted in the "non fiction" work.

FINALLY. (Just took me a week or so, to write the damn thing, since I got so caught up in all of it...)

It got HUGE - so I had to break it up in parts.

If you like comics - do check if there is something you haven't read. If you don't read comics - you're missing out on some seriously good stories that can be found out there.

I'll post the next part when I feel like going back to the hellish task of trying to go through my readlists and recheck the titles I can't remember the plot from...

BambiKill5

I'm officially losing it. I have gone full blown fujoshi.

I never transfer my BL delusions onto the actors of BL dramas/movies and definitely not on real life people. Fiction is fiction and reality is reality.
          But...

...there are these two guys that I keep seeing in my neighbourhood. They must be tight friends since they're almost always together.
(Okay - so far, nothing that would make me get any weird ideas.)

But you see... they're skaters. If they're not riding their boards, they're carrying them. (Hmm. Two BFFs that skate. Sounds familiar.)

About late teenish. (So - two BFF skaters in their late teens.)

          It gets better.

One of them just happens to be a typical blonde Swede. And the other one is dark and looks to be from the Middle Eastern.

Ergo: Two skater BFFs in their late teens, one blondie Swede and one dark exotic dude.

If you've read my original novel - you might understand why I'm suddenly very observant of my surroundings and listen for the sound of rolling wheels, when I take my dog out for walks.

I just saw them a little while ago. I'm still sitting here, all dazed, with a sheepish grin on my face.

I'm not sure whether to feel like my obsession has gone a TAD bit too far - or thank my lucky star for real life, moving inspiration.

...some years ago, back when I needed reference photos when working on the comic version of the story - I forced my bro and his BFF to pose for pics and quick sketches... (No face eating!)
But kinda', you know, guys hanging out, skating - but interacting just a tad bit closer than your average guys would do.

Fortunately, they aren't stiffs and they were just laughing their asses off all the time. As long as I'd be content with hugs, they were cool with it.
(My BL obsession is well known and ridiculed... lol)

I have to point out that there is absolutely nothing of the kind going on between my bro and his buddy (if I don't make that clear, he might get pissed, lol), they're just really, really close friends. They've been one of the sources of inspiration for the story of Elias and Alex - regarding the friendship part.
They've been BFFs since like... about 20 years by now - since kindergarten ^^
I don't ship them romantically (that'd be gross since one if my bro' and the BFF is my brother as well, in all except blood) but I totally ship their bromance, it's fucking cute when guys are so close friends that they're like an old married couple.

Lol... yes... but I kind of feel like a really dirty old lady or something - staring at a couple of teen boys with heart shaped eyes and blood gushing from my nose... LOL
I'll die if they catch me ogling them. But on the other side - they would probably die two times over if they knew exactly what I'm thinking...

...unless... THEY ARE riding more than boards... (which I don't think, since I actually don't get those vibes at all - but my mind still strays...)

"Howdy, boys. You two and your sweet skater boy bromance happens to remind me of the characters in my boy-on-boy story and since you seem to be so good buddies, could you please help me out a bit and eat each other's faces for just a sec and let me take some pics? I mean, just for reference."
