Ali Javan

Ali Javan aka AJ is an Iranian-American who lives with his family near Washington, D.C.  Twice Under the Persian Sky is his first novel, which he wrote to share his true life experiences with his family, friends, and readers, albeit in a fictional form.

AJ escaped from Iran at the age of 16, to seek freedom and a better life in the United States. He earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science from a major U.S. university in the late 1990s, then began working as a freelance geopolitical consultant and analyst on Iran and the Middle East for both public and private sector clients.  AJ has traveled to several countries in the Middle East, but has never returned to Iran.
 
AJ's lifelong interests include writing, international relations and world history, especially that of the Middle East. He also enjoys personal computing and soccer.
