swiftly came to an end. His
father had gotten mixed into
a few bad deals with a few
bad, and very powerful, men.
He was unable to pay his
debt, and was eliminated.
This left Thomas on his own.
He had always been unusually
bright for his age, and learned
swiftly how to charm his way
to an easy meal or out of a
tricky situation.
