( it was common knowledge to everyone that knew odette that every day, near sundown, she’d go on walks in a park a decent distance away from her house. the only exceptions were when rehearsals ran late of she had earlier shifts at the bar.
for once, however, instead of walking, odette had been sitting on a bench with her head in her hands, feet lifted off the ground. she’d been so lost in thought that she hadn’t even noticed anyone approach her until they made themselves known to her. )
