A new stage falls for Crystal's secondary school life. Gone are the days of just having one friend group; she now has a friend everywhere she goes. In addition to now being the president of the school choir, she is set to perform at KidzRise's inaugural musical as a major supporting character. However, the threats in her adolescence have yet to end. Now free from the comparisons between her and her now ex-childhood friend, she has become more confident and outgoing. Her more outspoken self unknowingly becomes an asset for Kids Forever and her boyfriend from First Excellence High. She may not be treated differently as often as before, but that doesn't mean life is getting easier for her.

"I love you" I said, or my mouth did. I didn't think of saying those words, they just came out. My hands trembled as I touched Justin's shoulder, and his head whipped around. "But I don't feel the same," he hissed and stalked off, shaking my hand from his shoulder. Tears stung my eyes, and I felt like an idiot.
