There's a legend about a cornfield. It is said that the corn glows at night, pale and blue like the moon. Of course, this isn't a legend for Morgan, she's seen this glowing corn and heard of this tale. The part she hasn't heard, that someone in there is waiting for someone to stumble into that cornfield. Problem? No one's ever stumbled out.

A rough draft that I've spent a while working on. Laina struggles through the events of her past as she helps the new object of a prophecy through his missions. Will the pressure of tracing her footsteps break her or finally let her move on? Constructive criticism is welcome, but please do not comment on the plot unless it cleans up what is already there. An orphan, abandoned by his parents, he has lived a rough life that he always finds himself running away from. When he was 12 he ran away from his foster home to live of the streets, stealing to survive. At 15 he ran away from the juvenile correctional system, where he landed after being caught in the act of theft. But his life of running leads him to a place where there is no one to run from, no one living anyhow. He meets a long dead general of the Dinjērian elven ranks and is taken on as his apprentice. This changes his life. But, was it worth all the bad things it would bring him in the end? I am looking for someone willing to exchange constructive criticism.
